Corporate Event Venues

Corporate Event
Choosing a venue for a Corporate event can be difficult. Not only do you have to balance the cost (to keep the accounting department happy), but you also have to make sure all the attendees have what they need. Not only in terms of space on a table and a place to sit. But also in terms of comfort: atmosphere in the venue, proximity to transit or available parking, and even if they have catering available. (Work doesn’t get done on an empty stomach).

These elements can all be difficult to balance for a regular event. But a Corporate event requires extra planning.

Decisions made at the Corporate level can affect entire companies, thousands of workers, and even global economies. It’s important to know that the time spent in these events by the heads of large Corporations cost thousands by the hour, in salaries alone.

To make level headed decisions, event attendees need to be content. They can’t be distracted by the temperature being slightly off or a malfunctioning piece of equipment.

There are many ways you can research the perfect event space. But looking them up online is only one part of the equation: You’ll see the best pictures and the best angles. Make sure you go through the effort to find the best Corporate event venue for your team.

It’s a good thing that you’re reading this then, because here at The Rostie Group, we’ve perfected Corporate events. The decorations of our rooms can match any corporate office. We’re steps from Union station, and have parking available. We provide full catering with a delicious menu that will please even the most particular of people.

So when you’re doing research on where to host your next event, make sure to book a visit with The Rostie Group. Come see our rooms in person, and you’ll see why we are the best choice.

Canada Day Art Installation

Canada Day Art Installation

To celebrate Canada Day 2018, Oxford Properties has created a beautiful Art Installation of the Canadian Flag by Artist Udo Schliemann. The 3 dimensional flag is rendered by using 1 inch wide, 5 meter long white and red ribbons. 50,000 ribbons were used to create this effect.

Additionally, they have taken us on a trip through Toronto’s past, celebrating our past, and making us look forward to our Future. Photos by Arthur Beales tell the story.

We’d like to thank Oxford Properties for continuing these events, and making it a pleasure to work and visit WaterPark Place.

Time=Money: Video Conferencing saves you Both

Video Conferencing Group

From the rise of Youtube to the era of the Instagram vertical video, it’s hard to deny that video in general has become cheaper and more accessible. The technology has already been in place for remote video conferencing for years. But poor video quality and hard-to-hear audio made them fall out of favor.

In the modern business sphere, information has to be shared and traded immediately. Which is great if you’re sitting across from your team mate, but if your company is large enough to have offices in different parts of the world, then it might get more difficult.

Of course, E-mail has it’s uses. However, just like any piece of written work; “context is key”, and the message can be lost in translation. Nothing beat face-to-face communications, but it’s not always practical, or even possible to sit in the same room.

To be able to share the entire context of your vital business information, the solution is video conferencing.

Additionally, video conferencing allows for the reading of body language, share thoughts, ideas and information while allowing you to read your audience to ensure they’re receiving the information in the intended manner. It’s a tremendous tool for training purposes and makes remote working a breeze.

However, it’s not as simple as setting up a Skype account and letting everyone have the address. First of all, Skype is not very secure, and if you have information that you want to keep private, that may not be the best option.

And of course, being a free option, it’s likely to be monetized in other ways. Nothing is more embarrassing than meeting with a new client, and having an Ad pop up during your presentation.

Also, while the video quality is usually ok, it’s not reliable, and while that might be fine if you’re just chatting with a team mate, it’s not good enough if you’re speaking to a client, or giving a large board presentation.

So not only do you want to have video conferencing available, but you also need it to be private, and be clear and crisp.

The Rostie Group can provide for all of your video conferencing solutions!  Our rooms have video conferencing equipment that is secure and easy to use. And in case of trouble, we have on-site tech support ready to make sure you have the best experience.
