API Integration Developer

SAP Business Process Consultant

Responsibilities:

  • Timely resolution of issues and problems with the SAP SD functionality and also primary functional responsibility of all integrations to SAP SD.
  • Work with key business SME’s to understand requirements that may be part of enhancement requests, project tasks or day to day support.
  • Responsible for ensuring Standard SAP functionality is used as far as possible when proposing system solutions for enhancements or issue resolution.
  • Responsible for collaboration and engagement with peers across functional and technical teams from Business Services, Enterprise Applications and other IS teams when called for.
  • Perform detailed analysis or business processes and provide appropriate system solutions.
  • Should review, validate, understand and document user requirements as necessary.
  • Functional spec creation for any custom enhancements or project related developments.
  • Unit Test/UAT/Integration testing for configuration or development work.
  • Act as liaison between the business SMEs and the technical team.
  • Work with IS AMS partners and team members to provide a high level of support to the business
  • Appropriately analyze and monitor incidents created by the users in service now. Resolve issues in a timely fashion
  • Be proactive in identifying potential problems, and proposing solutions to system issues.
  • Work with consultants and other team members to resolve issues in other SAP modules.

Qualifications:

  • Strong Understanding of SAP “end to end” process with expert knowledge in the SAP SD area.
  • Strong Knowledge of SAP jobs specifically in the SD area.
  • Strong understanding of client customizations in the SD area.
  • Expert knowledge of SAP configuration and transport creation and release process
  • Understanding of architecture of the Core SAP system landscape and other external systems connected to SAP like GOLD/Salesforce/Streamserve/Cforia and other client systems.
  • Demonstrate capability to analyze business processes / understand business challenges and provide innovative solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with technical and functional teams.
  • Team oriented self-starter with excellent organization skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and multi-task.
  • Effective collaboration and interpersonal skills are required to communicate and work with business and other IS functions.
  • Must be a quick learner – understanding new processes and new programs.
  • Expert knowledge of SAP SD functionality and integrations from SAP to other systems
  • Knowledge of custom functionality related to Tonnage invoicing, Gold integration and billing will be a significant plus.
  • Knowledge of Winshuttle studio and other SAP tools like LSMW will be an added advantage.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Business Administration or Business Computer Science
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in support of SAP ECC 6.0 required.
  • Experience with ABAP debugging is a plus
  • Experience in SAP HANA a plus
  • Extensive knowledge of business processes and application functionality to enable the resolution of complex problems.
  • Experience in conducting structured testing is essential.
  • Experience in creating functional change specification and design documents for RICEF items is essential
  • Strong understanding of the overall interactions between the SAP modules and the integration with other non-SAP applications.

This position can be based in Bridgewater, NJ or Cleveland, OH, and the client is willing to assist US Citizens with relocation from across the continental United States.

Role will be hybrid work/home office for 2022. (3 days in the office and 2 at home).

About the role:

This is not strictly an IT role. In this position you will move between the business side and the IT side and will need to have the skills to effectively communicate with both.

The ideal candidate will be experienced with:

  • SQL and “Big Data” (historical depth of data)
  • SSIS/SSRS, Tableau
  • SAP transactional knowledge (hands on the keyboard) and relational databases
  • Data management experience
  • Data governance experience
  • True in-depth data experience, true deep-dive (not just names and email addresses)
  • Salesforce exposure would be a great asset as client implemented Salesforce earlier this year.
  • You must be truly detail oriented

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and supports multi-domain MDM Governance processes to ensure the accuracy and completeness of Salesforce, SAP, and other internal ERP systems data.
  • Defines, documents and maintains the Data Quality Rules for assigned Master Data Objects.
  • Assesses the impact of Data Change requests to the data structure and applicable business processes and prepares recommendations for MDM Governance Committee Review.
  • Conducts regular consultations with other Data Stewards, the business users and Information
  • Services to understand data issues and identify optimization opportunities using expert business knowledge in areas such as but not limited to Customer, Material and Vendor.
  • Coordinates with Data Maintenance personnel to ensure the approved data requests are implemented
  • Defines, documents and maintains MDM tool set for assigned Master Data Objects including updates to the toolset once data changes are approved.
  • Defines KPIs to ensure data create/change SLAs are being met

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or other applicable major is required
  • 5+ year proven and progressive MDM Governance experiences
  • Expert competency in at least one SAP Master Data Object; Customer, Material, Vendor including business knowledge of how data is consumed
  • Strong background in relational databases with special interest in Salesforce, SAP, and Oracle
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Detailed analytical thinking to evaluate data, identify issues and implement solutions
  • Expertise in managing large data volumes and developing automated processes to facilitate routine activities
