Principal Lead Product Manager – Series “A” Equity!

Their compliance operations software helps organizations get the visibility, efficiency, and consistency needed to stay on top of all security assurance and compliance work on a continuous basis. Our client also assists in tracking risks as a part of an enterprise risk management program and conducting vendor risk assessments efficiently.

This Principal Lead Product Manager role is responsible for leading the Applications team, which owns their compliance applications: Programs, Audits, Risk, Vendor.

Lead a team of product managers to envision, create, deliver, and continuously improve their core compliance applications.

You are an expert in the needs/challenges of customers, and the solutions that our client offers.

You will partner closely with leaders in design, engineering, business teams to define our client’s roadmap and deliver results. You will also be a key spokesperson, evangelizing our plans and capabilities to internal and external stakeholders.

This role will be responsible for our client’s automated evidence collection platform, which allows users to collect compliance evidence directly from the other cloud services they use. This role is also responsible for our our client’s API and overall integration platform.

What you do …

  • Hire, lead and manage a team of PMs at different career stages, helping them grow their capabilities while delivering results and having fun
  • Generate energy, create clarity, inspire teamwork, and celebrate team successes
  • Drive innovation in the Applications area: define and evangelize our roadmap from ideation though execution to delivered results
  • Lead by example: You should be prepared to tackle toughest features and come up with solutions to the toughest design problems, while supporting our culture of trust, respect, and diversity
  • Create healthy productive partnerships with business stakeholders – customer, partner, and business groups
  • And most importantly: continuously act as the champion of our users and customers to ensure their needs are always top priority!

What you need to succeed…

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
  • 10+ years’ experience in a product or program management role, preferably on a SaaS product team
  • 2+ years’ experience as a manager of PMs
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills – someone who naturally takes charge of meetings and drives issues to closure
  • Excellent communication skills – ability to build alignment and clarity across both technical and non-technical audiences, including internal teams and customers/partners
  • Curiosity – someone who delves deep into the details to understand the root cause of problems, unexpected user behavior, etc.
  • Integrity – someone who always makes decisions they are proud of

  • Recruit, manage and mentor a growing team of high performing Account Executives, providing them the guidance, coaching, and the support needed to deliver results.
  • Exceed quarterly revenue goals and provide accurate forecasts by clearly quantifying opportunity size and likelihood in Salesforce.
  • Measure and adjust the results of our client’s sales playbook by testing new sales strategies that will increase deal size, improve win rate, reduce the average days in the sales cycle, and reduce AE ramp time.
  • Lead weekly meetings focused on sales coaching, deal strategy, customer stories, industry knowledge and anything else that can help the team succeed.
  • Collaborate with your peers in business development, marketing, partnerships and customer success to streamline processes and improve our customer experience.
  • Work closely with product management and prospective clients to push the edge of innovation and help shape our roadmap.
  • Help your team unlock opportunities by running discovery-based deal strategies, building customized presentations, simplifying contract negotiations, and planning implementations.

What you need to succeed…

  • 10+ years of SaaS sales, consistently exceeding annual quotas and winning awards
  • 3+ years of leading a full sales cycle team with deep expertise in new customer prospecting strategy and tactics.
  • Demonstrated performance at high growth, VC-backed technology companies
  • Advanced business degree (MBA) preferred

What you need to succeed…

  • 5+ years selling B2B SaaS, consistently exceeding annual sales quotas.
