Network Security Specialist

Our client is a public, Tier 1, multi-Billion dollar global automotive supplier that is looking to add a dedicated Network Security Specialist to join their team at their headquarters in Vaughan, Ontario.
This is a hybrid-remote role: 2 days in office – 3 days work from home office
The Network Security Specialist is responsible for implementing and managing security tools and identifying opportunities to improve security.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Developing policies related to IT Security and Compliance
- Conducting audit and risk assessments for information systems and processes with internal and external functions
- Establishing security metrics to establish compliance and risk rankings
- Creating action plans for continuous improvements efforts
- Developing required documentation to ensure compliance requirements are met
- Designing and implementing cyber-security training programs
The Ideal Candidate:
- Post-Secondary degree in Information Security, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience supporting security infrastructure
- Experience with security hardware and software, firewalls, VPN, cryptography, Sandboxing, Next Generation Anti-virus, and Anti-Spam products.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems such as Windows, UNIX, X, AIX and Linux.
- Experience with SASE and SIEM
- Certification in CCIE, CISSP or Fortinet NSE
Complimentary Experience:
- Knowledge of ISO27001, HIPPA, PCI, or other security frameworks
- Experience working on cross-functional teams

Cloud Security Specialist

Our client is a public, Tier 1, multi-Billion dollar global automotive supplier who is looking for an innovative Cloud Security Specialist to join their team in Vaughan, Ontario.
This is a hybrid-remote role: 2 days in office – 3 days work from home
The Cloud Security Specialist reports to the IT Security Manager, and is responsible for leading security-related projects and managing security protocols.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Identifying, selecting, designing, and implementing new cloud-based security technologies
- Testing security protocols and monitoring cloud protection programs
- Analyzing and implementing new security requirements and solutions
- Working cross-functionally with development teams and providing security updates and best practice information
- Managing risk assessment frameworks and threat mitigation strategies to ensure the optimal protection of system software
- Creating action plans for continuous improvements efforts
- Developing required documentation to ensure compliance requirements are met
The Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Experience supporting a large-scale security infrastructure
- Previous experience with cloud-based software such as AWS, Azure, or similar applications
- Hands-on experience with internet architectures including web, application, and database components
- Extensive experience with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, OSX, or similar systems
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, HTML, or similar languages
- Must possess Security Certification such as one or more of the following: CISSP, CSSP, MS 365 Security
- Administrator, AWS Certified Security, or alternative
Complimentary Experience:
- Knowledge of security industry standards
- Hands-on experience with SSO methodologies would be an asset
- In-Depth understanding of Cyber Threat Intelligence concepts
