It’s Customer Appreciation Day!

On February 28, we celebrated #CustomerAppreciationDay to give back to our amazing clients. In the morning, we had the talented Chef Jordan Diniz come in once again and make pancakes. Chef Jordan was a hit at our Holiday Breakfast in December and we were excited to have him back again. If you’re looking for in-house dining for your next party or event, you can reach out to him on his website http://www.chefjordan.ca

New SickKids Campaign to Light Up Yonge-Dundas Square

Just weeks in, the new ‘SickKids VS’ advertising campaign has already made quite an impact. The hospital is taking a brand new direction with this campaign, focusing on the young patients, who despite being so young, show great strength regardless of their condition. It has already gotten a lot of positive feedback from the general public but more importantly, the ads have been posted around the hospital and has been a motivating presence for the children on the front lines of their battle with disease.

The lighting of the VS sign will take place at Yonge-Dundas Square on October 26 between 4 and 6 PM along with giveaways and a photobooth. You can also donate to SickKids at http://www.sickkidsfoundation.com.

Celebrate the Day of the Dead by the Waterfront

Celebrate Mexican culture with Día de los Muertos—The Day of the Dead. The festival, which also has alternatives in other cultures, started as a way for families and friends to come together to remember and pray for their loved ones who have passed away.

The Harbourfront Centre will host the event on November 5-6 and is free to attend. It features face painting to get into the spirit of the Day of the Dead, performances from Latin bands, puppet shows and altars of remembrance.

The Day of the Dead has become a global tradition and in places like Toronto, which celebrates its diversity, it’s a great chance to experience different cultures by the Waterfront.
